Statistics & Streaks · computed entirely on your Mac
See your dictation habits, without sending them anywhere
Every word you dictate quietly builds a picture: how much you have written, how fast, and how many days in a row you have kept it up.
On by default, with a plain off-switch in Settings at every tier. A reset button clears it whenever you want a clean slate.
Shown, not told
Statistics, streaks, badges and personal records, all computed on your Mac
Dicta turns every dictation into a picture of your habits, no leaderboard, nothing sent anywhere.
What it tracks
Real numbers, playful milestones, no leaderboard
The numbers behind your dictation
Total words, dictation count, a per-model breakdown, your daily trend and your average words per minute, all derived from a local history you can reset with one button whenever you want.
Fun stats, stated as facts, not conclusions
Filler words removed, your longest single dictation, words per day, week and lifetime, and time saved shown as the inputs behind it (say, "312,000 words at 40 wpm equals 130 hours of typing"), never as a modeled claim.
Streaks, badges and personal records
Consecutive days with at least one dictation build a streak. Badges mark milestones like your first dictation or your first million words; personal records track your longest dictation, fastest WPM and busiest day.
Share cards you choose to send
Turn a stat, badge or streak into a brand-styled image and hand it to the share sheet, entirely on your initiative. Nothing is ever posted or uploaded automatically, and generating a card makes no network call.
A few of the badges
Milestones that mark your habit, not a leaderboard

1.27 million words. You out-dictated Proust. Take all the time you need.
Local, always
Every count stays on your Mac unless you choose to share it
Statistics, streaks, badges and records are all computed from your local dictation history and stored there. Nothing about them is sent anywhere on its own. If you generate a share card, that is a click you made on purpose, and even then the image is built on-device with no network call involved.
Incognito wins
One switch turns all of this off, instantly
Incognito suspends history and statistics collection entirely, and that includes streaks, badges and records: when it is on, none of this gets recorded, at every tier, no exceptions.
