Can I dictate without signing into a Microsoft or Google account?

Yes. Dicta needs no Microsoft account, no Google account, no third-party identity provider and no profile of any kind. Install it and it starts working immediately: the 7-day trial of the full Pro feature set begins automatically on first launch, with no account and no payment card of any kind. When the trial ends, dictation keeps working for free on the Free plan; only the Pro features gate.

If you subscribe to Pro from our website before the trial ends, or once your trial has ended, that runs through a separate Stripe checkout that needs an e-mail address and a payment card, and converts to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel first. Sign-in for that uses a passwordless magic link, not a password or a third-party identity provider, and we store nothing account-related beyond your e-mail, license and referral state (separately, Dicta also sends aggregate usage statistics linked to your license, described on the Privacy page, from a paid, activated install only; a trial sends none). Proper accounts with roles exist only where teams need them, for seat management on the Team tier.
