Is Dicta really offline?
Yes. Dictation itself needs no network connection at all: speech recognition, vocabulary corrections and the AI rewrite step all run on your Mac. You can verify this yourself by running Dicta with a firewall in block-all mode; dictation keeps working.
The only network calls Dicta ever makes are: downloading model files the first time you need them, checking for app updates, refreshing your license (at most weekly, key-hash only), and a daily usage-statistics upload linked to your license, on by default with an off switch in Settings. None of these carry your audio or your transcribed text. Full details are on the Privacy page.
